When added to HECTOR, the MidiInput module will automatically detect all available MIDI input devices (including USB MIDI controllers) and list them under the 'Devices' option. Once a MIDI device has been selected, any MIDI commands detected will be transmitted to the 'CTRL OUT' connection. It is also possible to send the control data internally directly to HECTOR using the 'Internal' toggle switch. If controller signals are routed internally, HECTOR will be sent all messages from the control surface. In this way, it is possible to assign control surfaces to options and controls within the HECTOR system, allowing physical hardware to interact with any of the modules installed in the HECTOR rack.
