Given a video input, will display the video on-screen on the HECTOR machine. The video output allows video to be fed through after being displayed, so the video signal can be used elsewhere. Note that this output method is primarily designed as a preview window that should not interfere with the operation of a video signal. Therefore, if the video signal frame rate is operating faster than the screen output can handle, it will tend to drop frames on the screen output, whilst allowing the correct number of frames to feed through on the video out.
